BGT Semi-Finalists Deliver Important E-Safety Message
Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists kept students entertained with a performance focused on the importance of e-safety.
Dance duo Misunderstood, made up of Stephan Benson and Jeffrey Okyere, staged a series of shows at Cornwallis Academy on Friday, January 13.
Students in Years 7 to 11 were invited to watch the performances, which included a discussion on how to stay safe online.
The visitors touched on their own experiences with cyber bullying and gave examples of how sharing personal information online could put you at risk.
The pair, who reached the semi-finals of the talent show in 2010 as part of the dance troupe Myztikal, also sang a couple of their singles.
Headteacher, Mrs Linney-Drouet, said: “The students really enjoyed the performances. It was fun and engaging, as well as informative.
“Stephen and Jeffery handled the subject of e-safety extremely well and it was great to hear the students give well-informed answers during the discussion.
“I’d like to thank the School Council for arranging the event.”
