Cornwallis Academy offers a rich and diverse curriculum to harness the talents of every young person. Our high expectations include fostering creative thinkers, inquisitive learners, problem solvers with flexible skills, successful communicators and effective collaborators.
Core subjects, such as English, Maths and Science, remain at the forefront of our curriculum and are supported by a wide variety of other subjects, including Physical Education, Art, Geography, History, Religious Education and Performing Arts, as well as unique topics such as Languages.
Our curriculum is tailored to meet the requirements of each year group and develops as the students progress through their education, providing them with flexibility and choice.
We aim to foster a culture where students and parents value homework and understand its contribution to students’ success as learners, to support and encourage students to develop independent skills, organisation skills, time management and self-discipline. As part of our vision to support every student in achieving their full potential, we run homework clubs which students can attend on a voluntary basis to use our computer facilities and complete homework tasks.
