David Elliott to Leave New Learning Academy
After much thought and consideration, David Elliott has made the decision to leave his post as Principal of New Line Learning Academy.
Mr Elliott spent seven years as Vice Principal of Senacre Technology College before becoming Principal of New Line Learning Academy almost five years ago.
Mr Elliott played an integral role in the formation of Future Schools Trust (FST), which saw Senacre merge with Oldborough Manor to create New Line Learning Academy and has continued to be a key figure across all of FST’s schools.
Since the Trust formed in 2007, Mr Elliott has been a central figure in developing a strong, clear vision for Future Schools Trust as a whole but specifically at New Line Learning Academy, where he has focused on creating a nurturing environment for all of its students.
Earlier this week, Jane Hadlow started at New Line Learning Academy as Interim Principal and will work alongside Mr Elliott until he leaves at Christmas.
Mr Elliott said: “This decision has not been taken lightly but I am confident Jane is the right person to steer New Line Learning Academy alongside the dedicated team of staff already in place.
“It has been a honour to be Principal of New Line Learning Academy and I am sad to leave a truly fantastic cohort of students, parents and colleagues. I wish you all every success for the future.”
Mrs Hadlow said: “I’m delighted to be joining New Line Learning Academy and I look forward to working with a team of talented and motivated staff, as well as the academy’s young people and the wider community.”
Josh Coleman, CEO of FST, said: "I would like to personally and professionally thank David for all of his hard work and dedication at New Line Learning Academy and across the Trust.
"On behalf of the Trust, I would also like to welcome Jane, who has recent and direct experience of making considerable impact in terms of community engagement and outcomes for learners."
