FST Supports Children in Need
Students and staff at Future Schools Trust pulled out all the stops to help raise over £1,580 for Children in Need.
Cornwallis and New Line Learning Academies, Tiger Primary School and Little Learners Nursery, which all fall under the Maidstone-based Trust, pulled together on Friday, November 18th, to host a variety of activities in aid of the national charity.
Both academies invited students and staff to take part in a non-school uniform day, while children at Tiger Primary School pulled on their best silly socks for the fundraising occasion.
Youngsters at Little Learners Nursery wore fancy dress for the event, as did students in Years 12 and 13 at Future Schools Trust’s Sixth Form, who also staged a flash mob dance routine in front of their unsuspecting peers. The wide range of costumes included the new President of the United States, Donald Trump, film stars, cartoon characters and many more.
Students and staff at Cornwallis and New Line Learning boosted the funds at break and lunchtimes with a range of games and activities, as well as a bake sale.
In total, Future Schools Trust raised £1,584.50, with the final figure expected to increase.
Josh Coleman, CEO, said: “A huge well done to all of our students and staff for raising such a fantastic amount of money for Children in Need. The final total is a testament to the hard work and enthusiasm of all involved.”
