Pupils Head to London Town
Children in Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to the city to ride on the London Eye before watching Matilda the Musical!
The pupils split into two pods on the big wheel overlooking the River Thames, with views stretching across London. On their descent, the children tested out their photography skills, as well as a ‘not very still’ mannequin challenge!
After taking in the views, they headed to the West End to see Matilda on stage.
Mrs Church, who led the trip, said: "The children had an amazing time. They loved every part of the day and were a real credit to themselves, the school and their parents.
"The show was absolutely outstanding. We could really compare the similarities between the film and the production and the children all came back inspired by the young, determined children on the stage. Thank you to the parents for their contributions as this is an experience that they will never forget!"
Here are few comments from the children:
“My favourite moment in Matilda was when the kids got revenge on Mrs Trunchball. They hit her with food because she was mean,” - Chardonnay W
“The best part of Matilda was the music because I loved the harmonies, melodies and rhythm,” - Jedi I.
