Safer Internet Day
Future Schools Trust is proud to join forces with hundreds of other schools across the UK to support Safer Internet Day.
FST, which runs Cornwallis and New Line Learning Academies, Tiger Primary School and Little Learners Nursery, will be marking the national event on Tuesday, 9th February, by celebrating the many positives of the internet but also by highlighting the online issues that young people face today.
The Trust’s Chief Executive, Sir Nick Williams, said: “The internet remains highly relevant in today’s ever-changing world of technology, which is why it is so important to ensure young people are aware of the potential concerns they may face when online.
“Our aim is to encourage our students to focus on practical solutions and how to respond appropriately to negative content, so that we can all play a part in helping to make the internet a positive place.”
Throughout Safer Internet Day, students will be taking part in awareness workshops and assemblies.
