Level: BTEC Level 3 National Certificate/Subsidiary Diploma in Health and Social Care
Entry Requirements: 4 GCSEs A*-C including English
We aim to teach the Certificate in the first year and then in the second year continue with the Subsidiary Diploma, that consists of four additional optional units chosen by the department.
Mandatory units for Certificate:
- Unit 1 Developing Effective Communication
- Unit 2 Equality and Diversity
- Unit 3 Health, Safety and Security in the Health Care Sector
The work carried out will include the following activities:
- Short Projects
- Case Studies
- Role play
All units will be internally assessed. At the end of the course you will be awarded a Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction* grade, which will be calculated from the points achieved throughout the course.
