West End Star Dazzles NLL Students
West End star Charlie Stemp brought the bright lights of London’s theatre scene to New Line Learning Academy.
Charlie, who plays the lead of in Cameron Mackintosh’s latest musical Half a Sixpence, visited the Boughton Lane school on Friday, June 16, to deliver a series of acting workshops.
The actor spoke to students about his previous roles, including parts in Mamma Mia! And Wicked, before giving them advice and tips about pursuing a career in the world of stage shows.
Leanne Chapman, Acting Head of Performing Arts at the academy, said: “It was fantastic to be able to welcome Charlie into our lessons, as well as assembly. The students loved hearing about his experiences and were able to ask him questions about his previous roles. He was really encouraging of their goals and ambitions for the future. We look forward to hopefully being able to watch him on the stage one day soon.”
