The Academy Angels to complete Race for Life

A team of runners - from New Line Learning and Cornwallis Academies - have decided to go all out this year and attempt the 10k & 5k Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The Academy Angels will be running on Saturday 9 July at Mote Park, Maidstone. The 10k girls will be running at 10.30am and the 5km girls at 3pm.

Communications Manager, Moira Mitchell, said: "So far we have nine ladies on the team but we're hoping to convince a few more to take part so we can raise at least £1000 for Cancer Research UK. We've already set up our online sponsorship page and are now asking friends, relatives, work colleagues and the public to dig deep and sponsor us."

All the money raised by The Academy Angels will help fund Cancer Research UK's fantastic life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.
